I work in an holistic way, and my approach is to see each person as a unique individual.
I believe that the way we see the world and how we interact with it depends on the beliefs that we were
either given by our carers or that we formulate from the behaviour of others.
Many of our “behaviours” are learnt in childhood and unless these are brought into our awareness,
released and healed they will continued to interfere with our lives.
This is a vital part of my work.
Although I initially trained as a PERSON CENTERED counsellor, over the years I have incorporated
other ways of working to suit individual needs. I am largely psychoanalytic
(which deals with issues of the past) and I use GESTALT (which allows feelings from the past to be
released in the present).
I integrate PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT and LIFE SKILLS into my work and
HYPNOTHERAPY and REFLEXOLOGY where appropriate.
I am a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and abide by its ethical framework.
